Redact PII from filings and exhibits without sending a single page out of the office.
iRedact combines OCR, AI detection and a regex safety net to locate account numbers, Social Security numbers, addresses and other personal data in PDFs, including data encoded in barcodes. Redactions are burned into the page, not layered on top, and the whole pipeline runs on a desktop agent on your own network.
What it does
Scanned and native PDFs
OCR handles scanned bank statements, court forms and correspondence; native PDFs are read directly. Both flow through the same detection pipeline.
Layered detection
AI detection finds PII in context, a regex safety net catches known patterns such as account and SSN formats, and barcodes are decoded so the data hidden inside them is redacted too.
Permanent redactions
Text and image data under each redaction is removed from the output file, so a redaction cannot be lifted by deleting an annotation layer.
Templates that learn
iRedact remembers the layout of each recurring document type and jurisdiction, so the second bank statement from the same institution or the second copy of the same court form is processed faster with fewer manual touches.
Document splitting
Split a multi-document scan into separate files as part of the same run, ready for filing or attachment to the case.
Desktop agent
The agent installs on a workstation or server inside the firm. Documents are processed locally; only page counts are reported to the Portal to meter tokens (2 per redacted page, 1 per split page).
How a typical run goes

Drop PDFs into the agent's watch folder or pick them from the workstation.

iRedact OCRs each page, runs AI and pattern detection, and applies any template already learned for that layout.

Review flagged regions in the viewer; accept, adjust or add redactions.

The agent burns the redactions and writes the final PDF, and splits the file if you asked it to.
Where your data lives
Processing happens on the desktop agent inside your firm. The original and redacted documents stay on your storage; the cloud never receives page content, only the page counts used to meter tokens.
